We need to add another fun option to our list of Fall Fests and Events. Garvan Woodland Gardens — a gorgeous botanical garden located down the road in Hot Springs — just released their October calendar. Spoiler: there’s plenty of family-friendly festivities in store.

Fall Celebration Saturdays

Families are invited to enjoy the fall weather, flowers and foliage each Saturday in October at the Gardens. For a fun twist, the first 100 children to the Gardens will receive a free take-home fall project. Each week will be something different, but mark your calendars for some special take-home items:

  • October 24: Free pumpkins to the first 100 children

  • October 31: Halloween treat bags to the first 200 children

Make a day of it with a meal from the Chipmunk Cafe. The delicious and festive fall menu includes:

  • Homemade chili with beans

  • Frito pies

  • Chili dogs

  • Philly cheesesteak sandwich

  • Homemade soup of the day

  • Pumpkin roll

  • Gourmet bread pudding with vanilla sauce
