During the weekend, state and local sales tax will not be collected on clothes and shoes under $100 each, which includes uniforms, sneakers, gloves, rainwear, socks, diapers (disposables included!) and much more.

Clothing accessories under $50 each are also part of the tax-free holiday, such as hair bows, handbags, umbrellas, watches and jewelry.

And, of course, parents can save big on school art supplies like paints and drawing pads; school instructional materials, such as textbooks and workbooks; and school supplies, including calculators, binders, book bags, notebooks, paper, pencils, crayons, highlighters and more.
