Bass Pro Shops: Free Summer Events for Families
Have you dropped by Little Rock's Bass Pro Shops lately? The outdoor store is kicking off summer in the best way--with free activities that encourage families to learn about the outdoors!
From June 27-July 26, Bass Pro Shops hosts its annual Family Summer Camp event. The free, month-long event is held from noon-5 p.m. each Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
Kids will receive a free lanyard and can earn free pins for each 20-minute workshop they complete. The workshop options include archery, fishing, kayaking, backyard adventure and more. Click here for the full workshop schedule.
The Family Summer Camp also includes the following free activities:
- Casting Challenge: Test rod and reel skills at the target casting area, noon-5 p.m.
- BB Shooting Range: Attend the Shooting & Hunting workshop and then try out what you've learned, noon-5 p.m.
- Shooting Arcade: Compete against others to see who hits the most targets, noon-5 p.m.
- Catch & Release Pond: Kids can fish in a special pond and show off their catch in a photo; July 4-5 only, noon-5 p.m.
- Crafts: Kids can make a different craft every week, including a wooden wind chime, kite photo frame and lady bug clip magnet. See the full schedule here.
