Broadway is coming back to central Arkansas this February! Presented by Celebrity Attractions, the new U.S. National Tour of "Annie" will stop at the Maumelle Performing Arts Center Feb. 19-21.

Fans of the 1977 Tony Award-winning production will be pleased that the show sticks closely to its roots with the original book by Thomas Meehan, music by Charles Strouse and lyrics by Martin Charnin. Theatergoers will hear the beloved score, peppered with iconic songs like "Tomorrow," "It's the Hard Knock Life" and others.

The new production is directed by the original lyricist and director, Martin Charnin. Plus, choreographer Liza Gennaro has a special connection to the show—her father Peter Gennaro won a Tony for his original Annie choreography in 1977!

And, of course, little ones will be delighted by another star of the show: the lovable mutt, Sandy! The dog actor was trained by William Berloni, who local theater fans might remember as the animal trainer behind the scenes of the Arkansas Repertory Theatre's production of "Because of Winn Dixie."

Performances of "Annie" will be held at the Maumelle Performing Arts Center located on the campus of Maumelle High School. Performance times will be at 8 p.m. Feb. 19, 2 & 8 p.m. Feb. 20, 2 p.m. Feb. 21.

Attend the 2 p.m. matinee on Feb. 20. for a fun bonus—it will be Little Rock Family day! For the special performance, our staff will be on hand for a FREE pre-show party in the lobby! Ticketholders can participate in free hands-on activities, like posting their dreams for "Tomorrow" on a giant sun mural and making crafts. You'll also get the chance to sign up for awesome giveaways from some of our favorite family attractions, including the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, Museum of Discovery and the Arkansas Arts Center Children's Theatre.

Plus, our friends from ICM, Inc. will join the party to hand out their freshly-made dog treats, which you can take home to the furry members of your family. You can also learn about The Call, a local organization that recruits, trains and supports foster and adoptive families in Arkansas!

Tickets prices to all shows are $32, $52 and $67, and available by phone at (501) 244-8800 or online at Ticketmaster.com.
