Celebrate with your crew at one of this weekend's fun family events, from the Harlem Globetrotters' slam dunks to Blackbird Academy's Cinderella ballet. Harlem Globetrotters 90th Anniversary Tour at Verizon Arena: On the court, the Globetrotters’ 90-year celebration features exceptional athletes and entertainers. The roster includes Big Easy Lofton, Ant Atkinson, Hi-Lite Bruton, Thunder Law, Bull Bullard and Cheese Chisholm—plus female stars TNT Maddox and Sweet J Ekworomadu. Every game showcases incredible ball-handling wizardry, rim-rattling dunks, trick shots, hilarious comedy and fan interaction. Lil' Wild One: Owls at Central Arkansas Nature Center: Little ones ages 4-8 years old will explore the nighttime world and sounds of owls. Cinderella the Ballet at UCA's Reynolds Performance Hall in Conway: Blackbird Academy of Arts presents the classical ballet of Cinderella. This age old story is told through original choreography, costumes, and sets and promises to be enjoyed by the entire family. Eagle Awareness Weekend at Petit Jean State Park: Head to Petit Jean State Park for two days devoted to our national symbol: the bald eagle. A variety of programs are planned, including a live raptor show and field trips to nearby Holla Bend National Wildlife Refuge to look for wintering eagles. Jan. 9-10. Super Sunday Free Family Funday at Arkansas Arts Center: Take part in this free art-making experience for the whole family!
