Looking for an excuse to make a trek to the zoo? We’ve got one - make that two - and they’re super cute.

The Little Rock Zoo recently welcomed two new caracal kittens named Blue and Bayuda. At almost seven weeks old, the two are nearly perfect replicas of their parents, with golden brown fur, fierce eyes and sharply pointed ears.

Caracals are native to Africa and Asia and are not very common in zoos, which makes Blue and Bayuda even more special.

Their names come from the desert regions that make up their natural habitats, where their gold color helps them to camouflage while they hunt.

The Little Rock Zoo is open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. every day with the last admission at 4 p.m. The caracals are situated in the small carnivores section at the southwest corner of the zoo.
