A massive Nerf gun battle is coming to Little Rock and you and the kids will not want to miss it. On Sat., Oct. 22 help set a Guinness World Record at Alsopp Park as you participate in what could be the world's largest Zombies-Nerf Attack.

The event at 6 p.m. is a two-hour, live-action zombie simulation open to players ages 12 and up. Anyone under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Participants will play as zombies and survivors, taking turns in both roles and switching every 20 minutes.

The goal for participants playing as humans is to go 20 minutes without being tagged by a zombie. Use a Zombies NERF blaster (provided when you register) to protect yourself. If a zombie shoots you, you join the infected.

Zombies shoot at humans and try to get more to join their team. If you are shot as a zombie, you must freeze for 15 seconds and then resume playing.

According to Hamid Torabpour at Winterstate Entertainment participants will receive tickets and materials in the mail between Oct. 18-20. Everything is being mailed out on Oct. 15. The date of the event was originally scheduled for Oct. 1 but was pushed back to give people more time to sign up and so that it would be closer to Halloween.

Torabpour also said that players should receive "detailed instructions" about the app and how the game will work.

Registration for the event is $70 until Oct. 1, $80 from Oct. 2-15 and $100 Oct. 16-18. It includes:

  • Movie ticket to “Zombies - The Movie.”
  • T-shirt.
  • Zombie Nerf Blaster.
  • Interactive app allowing gamers to be connected.
  • An radio frequency bracelet/bib for tracking players.
  • Protective eyewear (zombie and human style).
  • Other sponsor swag.

The event will raise money for the Red Cross. For more information and to register for the event visit the website here
