The Central Arkansas Library System is breaking ground on a brand new library on Jan. 25.

In early 2018, the current Amy Sanders Library in Sherwood (at 31 Shelby Drive) will close and the new building (at 10200 Johnson Drive) will be put into use.

The new building will be more than 14,000 square feet and include a teen area, art galery space, study rooms and more! It will all be situated on 14 acres of land.

The current library opened more than 25 years ago and is less than 10,000 square feet, meaning the new facility will be much more spacious.

In the mean time, the current library is open and running programs as usual, so keep reading and start looking foward to a brand new library next year!
