After a week of wintry weather and cooped-up kids, you're probably ready to get out of the house! Despite forecasts for Saturday thunderstorms, there are plenty of fun events to combat the boredom blues. Here are our top five picks for family fun this weekend, Feb. 20-22.

1. 24th Annual Arkansas Flower and Garden Show at Statehouse Convention Center: Celebrate gardening in the Natural State at this horticultural event featuring 100 vendors and five beautiful display gardens. Sunday is Family Day when kids, accompanied by one or more adults, may attend two free 30-minute gardening workshops: "Yummy Plant Parts" and "Earthworms can dig it." Black History Quiz Bowl at Mosaic Templars Cultural Center: Trivia fans can watch as teams of Arkansas students in grades 6-12 test their knowledge of African American history, achievements and contributions in this annual statewide competition. 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Feb. 21. 3. Professional Bull Riders Velocity Tour at Verizon Arena: This tour is an action-packed event in a rock-and-roll environment with professional pyrotechnics, sound and video elements—and of course, the world’s top cowboys riding bucking bulls. $14.50-$52.50. 4. West Little Rock Food Truck Festival at Chenal Pointe at the Divide: West Little Rock gets its own food truck festival, featuring live music and delicious food trucks like Katmandu MoMo, Hot Rod Wieners, Waffle Wagon, Beast, The Pie Hole and more. 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Feb. 21. 5. Survival Skills Weekend at Pinnacle Mountain State Park: Start or add to your knowledge of surviving in the great outdoors. This weekend will be filled with survivor skill workshops on using a map and compass, fire-starting, shelter-building, knot-tying and more. Workshops will take place on Feb. 21 & 22.
