5th Annual Military Vehicle Show at the MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History: This annual vintage military vehicle show on the museum's front lawn features Jeeps and other vehicles. Local vendors include Bennett's Military Supplies, as well as representatives from the Arkansas Department of Veterans Affairs. Super Summer Saturday at the Clinton Center:  In conjunction with the current temporary exhibit, Xtreme Bugs, children will learn how to work as a team, just like their favorite bugs do to survive! Representatives from the Little Rock Zoo will be onsite to show Madagascar hissing cockroaches, stick bugs and tarantulas from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. While Super Summer Saturday activites are free, admission fees to tour the permanent and temporary exhibits will still be charged. CALS End of Summer Readying Club Bash: The Central Arkansas Library System and the Arkansas 529 Investing plan will host an End of Summer Reading Club Bash at 10 a.m. at the Hillary Rodham Clinton Children's Library & Learning Center. The event will feature live music, princesses from Fancyful Fairytale Parties, petting zoo from Heifer International, an Iron Man super hero, food trucks and more! Plus, it's completely free! 31st Annual World Championship Cardboard Boat Races: Head to Sandy Beach on Greers Ferry Lake as this year's theme invites participants to decorate their cardboard crafts in the super hero theme of DC versus Marvel! Boats range from simple rafts to stunning ships and must complete four heats around a 200-yard course on Greers Ferry Lake. Boat races begin at 10 a.m., with timed heats for both children and adults. Stargazing Cruise at Pinnacle Mountain State Park: View the stars as you cruise aboard a tour boat on Lake Maumelle near Pinnacle Mountain. A park interpreter will serve as your guide to discover stars, constellations and satellites in the sky! Advance payment and registration required. $15 for adults and $8 for kids ages 6-12. "The Wizard of Oz" at Murry's Dinner Playhouse: Follow the yellow brick road straight to Murry's Dinner Playhouse for a family night at the theater as "The Wizard of Oz" hits the stage. Friday and Saturday dinner is from 6-7:20 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m. On Sunday, there is a matinee with lunch from 11 a.m.-12:40 p.m. and the show at 12:45 p.m. as well as an evening performance with dinner from 5:30-6:40 p.m. and the show at 6:45 p.m. Tickets range from $15-$37. For more details on the show and to view a seating chart, visit the Murry's Dinner Playhouse website.
