Mac 'N Cheese Sliders

What’s better than a comforting bowl of mac n’ cheese? How about a mac ‘n cheese sandwich? Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better.



  • 1 pound macaroni

  • 4 tablespoons butter

  • 3 shallots, finely chopped

  • 5 tablespoons plain flour

  • 2 1/4 cups whole milk

  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

  • ½ cup cream cheese

  • ½ cup cheddar, grated

  • 1 egg, beaten

  • 1 cup mozzarella, chopped into 36 chunks

To serve:

  • 3 x 12-pack assorted mini bread rolls

  • barbecue sauce (optional)

Tip: This recipe could also be modified to work with your favorite version of homemade or vegan macaroni.

  • 4 frozen Sister Schubert's Dinner Yeast Rolls

  • Melted unsalted butter, for brushing rolls

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise

  • 3/4 teaspoon chipotle in adobo sauce

  • 1/4 teaspoon sweet paprika

  • 8-12 thin slices cooked turkey breast
