Family Festival: Rothko's Colors and Perfect Portraits at the Arkansas Arts Center -- Enjoy games, food, and activities inspired by Rothko: Kids will decorate cookies to look like Rothko's color field approach to painting; explore patterns and pairings of colors to create emotion in a piece of art; and assemble color wheels that match colors to emotions. Other activities take inspiration from the portrait exhibits on display in the galleries: using a variety of expressive facial features, children will build two different facial expressions and turn them into masks that tell a story; or, sit down with a friend and take turns creating portraits. 2014 A Day of Service—A Day On, Not a Day Off at Pine Bluff Convention Center -- This year’s main event will be held at the Pine Bluff Convention Center, and features MLK Jr.’s nephew, Isaac Farris. Following the program, all attendees will receive a free meal and drinks provided by Olive Garden and Coca-Cola.
