Some kids have a love affair with rocks. Who can explain it? Even with all of their toys and sometimes all they want to do is play with rocks. 

Families can funnel that enthusiasm into an enriching experience at the Argenta Branch of the William F. Laman Library. Head to the library's Painting Rocks event at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 24.

AR Rocks is a Facebook group that fosters community by hiding painted rocks for others to find as part of their scavenger hunt, similar to geocaching.
