This year, March of Dimes is transforming its annual in-person March for Babies event into an ongoing virtual campaign. Participants can StepUp! now through May 15 to raise vital support for moms and babies — all from the safety of their homes and neighborhoods.

“It is imperative that moms and babies have access to the care and resources required for a healthy start each and every day, and the need has become even more critical in our current environment,” says Stacey D. Stewart, President and CEO of March of Dimes.

Donors will support:

  • COVID-19 treatment research that is inclusive and safe for pregnant and lactating women.

  • Resources and training for health staff in ICU and NICU divisions.

  • Educational resources for mothers and mothers-to-be with emphasis on self-protection.

  • Fundraising and advocacy efforts needed to help those families directly impacted by COVID-19.

Getting Involved

Register for StepUp! and be sure to download the app to track your steps and take part in fun challenges along the way. Participants’ steps will be tracked using smart phones and fitness watches in support of social distancing guidelines and safety. Continuing this vital mission depends on thousands of supporters across the country who participate in the annual March for Babies fundraising events.

Pregnancy doesn’t have a pause button. Babies’ immune systems don’t have a fast-forward button. Even in the best of times, moms and babies rely on resources from March of Dimes. The stress placed on today’s healthcare system only makes this mission that much more important. Join the mission today and StepUp! for moms and babies.
