Bernice Garden Bazaar 

Music, food trucks and vendors — oh my! Check out the night market at Bernice Garden before enjoying an al fresco meal at the SoMa Outdoor Dining Room.

Live Music Friday at the SoMa Outdoor Dining Room

Speaking of the SoMa Outdoor Dining Room, this Friday you and the fam can enjoy food and live music. Grab your mask, the kids and order takeout from your favorite SoMa restaurant.

When: Friday | 4-9 p.m. (live music starts at 7 p.m.)

Central Arkansas Iris Society Largest Rhizome Sale

Add some color to your garden at the Central Arkansas Iris Society (CAIS) Sale — the best place in Central Arkansas to purchase Tall Bearded, Louisiana and other garden iris varieties. All varieties are grown by CAIS members right here in Central Arkansas. Proceeds support the yearly operation of the club. Come early — the irises are typically sold out by 11 a.m. The free event is on rain or shine.

Tinkerfest Part 1: Splashing & Tinkering 

The Museum of Discovery played around with the 2020 Tinkerfest format. The result: four times the fun. Instead of a daylong celebration, Museum of Discovery has decided to present four smaller events to help keep participants safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. The first up this Saturday is Splashing and Tinkering. Come learn about floating, dissolving and other splashy topics. 

The Details: 

When: Saturday | 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.* 

Where: 100 block of Sherman Street just outside the museum’s main entrance

Guidelines: 

  • Wear a mask

  • Social distancing encouraged

*To limit crowd size, you need to purchase your tickets in advance (members should reserve tickets.) Tickets will be offered in two hour increments:

9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Saturday Drum Circle at Bernice Garden 

Come get your groove on at the Bernice Garden Drum Circle. Just bring your masks and your family — drums, chairs and hand sanitizer will be provided.

Arkansas Foodbank Harvest Week Events 

Arkansas Foodbank also took a creative approach to their annual Harvest Night, stretching it into Harvest Week. The week-long event rounds up on Saturday with two family-friendly events. Have fun and support the food bank's mission to ensure Arkansans had access to the most basic of needs—food.

Event #1: Museum of Discovery Donation & Demos 

Bring food donations for discounted tickets! Then stay for special Harvest Week demos. 

When: Saturday | special demonstrations at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Where: Museum of Discovery

Event #2: Drive In Movie in Benton

Bring food or a monetary donation for the foodbank. Admission is free! Come early to grab a bite or a snack. Food trucks and Kona-Ike will be on-site. Then chill out with Frozen 2 (sorry, not sorry).

Buzz B Q 

The best of the best BBQ pros and joes come out to show their skills on the grill as locals compete for the coveted title. This year marks the 16th annual event. For more information, visit buzzbq.com

2020 Arkansas Autism Foundation Autism Festival and Walk

Join this year’s Autism Festival and Walk via Zoom! The day’s activities include the walk, scavenger hunt, dance party and more. The event is free, but you must register to receive your Zoom link. You can also donate to support the Arkansas Autism Foundation.
