Sky Zone Indoor Trampoline Park is now open in Maumelle! As of noon today, May 30, the jump park is open to public for open jump, dodgeball, basketball dunking and more.

Little Rock Family visited the trampoline park yesterday for a sneak peek of the facilities--and, of course, a flip or two into the foam pit. The 25,000 square-foot facility includes a trampoline-walled jump court, complete with angled trampolines that allow daredevils to bounce off the walls. The indoor park includes three dodgeball courts, a basketball court, foam zone and birthday party space.

Class field trips and birthday parties are welcome. Plus, families can attend special jump times during the week, including Toddler Time for children under 6 (10:30 a.m.-noon Wed.; $8 first jumper, $5 each additional jumper, one parent free), SkyMania for tweens and teens ages 10-15 (9-10:30 p.m. Fri.; regular pricing) and SkyJam for young adults ages 16 and up (9-10:30 p.m Sat.; regular pricing).

Those looking for fitness can bounce in the SkyRobics exercise class that promises to help you burn up to 1,000 calories in an hour (6-7 p.m. Tue. & Thu., 8:30-9:30 a.m. Sat.; $8 per class, 10-class card $60, unlimited monthly pass $40).

Parents who are worried about safety precautions, be aware, all jumpers must sign a liability waiver. But we were comforted by the fact that Sky Zone employees go over the rules of each jump area with all visitors before they enter the arena. In the open jump area, only one jumper is allowed per square to minimize collisions. Plus, jumpers are required to wear slip-resistant socks called SkySocks ($2 per pair; jumpers take them home to launder and reuse on future visits).

Prices for jumpers are $10 for 30 minutes, $15 for 60 minutes, $20 for 90 minutes and $25 for 120 minutes. Discounts are available when you make reservations online.

Open Jump hours are noon-9 p.m. Tue.-Fri., 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Sat., 1-7 p.m. Sun. Sky Zone is located at 400 Sharkey Drive, Ste. 1, Maumelle.
